James "Jim" Isaac Jennings July 14, 1927 - August 17, 2019

James “Jim” Isaac Jennings, age 92, of Paris, Missouri, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2019, at the Salt River Community Care Center in Shelbina, Missouri.

Jim was born July 14, 1927 in Canton, Illinois, the son of Ivan Isaac and Gertrude Minnie (Pearson) Jennings. He was united in marriage to Patty Sue Roberts. She preceded him in death on June 27, 2003.

Jim served in the United States Air force and was a member of the Shelbina American Legion Post 376. He worked for the Blades family farm for 60 years before retiring. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boxing while serving in the military, going to the casino, and watching western movies, especially any film with John Wayne. Most of all, he loved spending time with his friends and family.

He is survived by his brother, John Jennings (Mildred) of Shelbina, Missouri; two nephews, John David Jennings Jr. of Shelbina, Missouri, and Robert Allen Jennings of Louisiana, Missouri; one niece, Robin Rolfes of Palmyra, Missouri; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, George Jennings; and one sister, Juanita Jennings.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 23, 2019, at 2 pm at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, Missouri. Visitation will precede the service starting at 1 pm. Burial with full military honors will be held following the service at the Shelbina Cemetery, in Shelbina, Missouri. Memorials may be made to Neighbors Helping Neighbors.
