Florene Garvin, 93, of Macon, MO, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at the Loch Haven Nursing Home in Macon.

Florene was born on August 14, 1921, in Macon County, MO, the daughter of Valerie and Lucy (Watts) Isbeque. Florene was united in marriage to Thomas Garvin On June 14, 1941 in Bevier, MO. She was a member of the Crossroads Christian Church in Macon and the Macon Garden Club. Florene enjoyed quilting a quilt for each child and grandchild, cooking and especially spending time with family.

Florene is survived by one son Rick Garvin of Macon, MO, two daughters Judy Gieselman and husband Bob of Columbia MO, and Cindy Koroknay of Largo, FL, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Richard Isbeque and Reginald Isbeque, four sisters Francis Thomas, Vera Russell, Charlene Cox and Christine Eisenhauer.

Funeral services will be 2:30 pm, Thursday, April 9, 2015, at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon with Bro. Jim Bolin officiating. Burial will be in the Richardsdale Cemetery in Bevier. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 pm, Thursday afternoon, at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the Bevier Cemetery Association.
