Vernon Matthew Hall, 90, of Macon, MO, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO.

Vernon was born on June 15, 1924, in Macon, the son of Samuel Lee and Grace Kate (Miller) Hall. Vernon was united in marriage to Imogene Fugate on August 9, 1944 in Macon, MO. He worked for Ellisons Salvage Yard in the 1930-40s and worked for A.J. Noll Motors for eleven years. In 1956 he started Vern Hall Body Shop until he retired in 1983. Vernon enjoyed going to flea markets, visiting with friends at the auto body shop and working.

Vernon is survived by three children, Donnie Hall and wife Virginia, Terry Hall, and Sam Hall and wife Janet all of Macon, MO, nine grandchildren, Kelli Kramer and husband Shannon, Brett Hall, Michelle Canan and husband Rick, Jenifer Hall, Matthew Hall, Taylor Hall and wife Katelyn, Winston Hall, Tim Hall and Cody Hall, nine great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, six sisters and two brothers.

Graveside services will be 1:00 pm, Friday, April 10, 2015, at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Macon with Pastor Elden Kohn officiating. The family suggests memorials to the Woodlawn Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, MO.
