Delores Jean Peter May 28, 1939 - June 21, 2019

Delores Jean Peter, 80, of Callao, MO, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019, at the Samaritan Hospital in Macon, MO.

Delores was born on May 28, 1939, on the family farm in Rockwell, IA, to Francis and Delphia (Mullen) Foell. She graduated from Sheffield High School in 1958. Delores was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Larry R. Peter, on January 11, 1959. Larry and Delores ran the Crystal Café in Sheffield for three years and farmed until they moved their family to Bevier, MO, in 1972. Delores loved her time on the farm and named each one of her dairy cows. While living in Bevier, Delores was a member of the Concord Christian Church. In 2002, Larry and Delores moved to Callao, MO and became members of the Callao Christian Church, where they have served faithfully.

Delores is survived by her husband of 60 years, Larry; her mother, Delphia Foell of Sheffield, IA; her sister, Marlys Peterson of Mason City, IA; her brother Mervin (Michelle) Foell of Sheffield, IA; three children, Crystal (Jerry) Lovingier of Bevier, MO, Roger (Lori) Peter of Bevier, MO, and Marcia (Floyd) Teter of Bevier, MO; ten grandchildren, Wesley Lovingier, Miranda Lovingier (Ryan Hicks), Travis (Tiffany) Lovingier, Matthew (Penny) Peter, Andrew Peter, Aaron Peter, Jacob (Melissa) Teter, Valerie (Adam) Smith, Joel (Dawn) Teter, and Wade (Memphis) Teter; one uncle, Jack Mullen; eleven great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Francis Foell and an infant brother.

Memorial services for Delores will be held at the Callao Christian Church – Family Life Center in Callao, MO. Visitation will be Friday, June 28, 2019 from 6-8 pm. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 5 pm with Evangelist Josh Stucki officiating.
