Ronald Dean "Ron" Snyder, 77, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday May 9, 2019 at his home.

The son of the late Dean and Norma (Pifer) Snyder, Ron was born December 19, 1941 in Green Castle, Missouri. On December 27, 1963 in Green Castle, Missouri, Ron was united in marriage to Sharon Kay Haynes who preceded him in death on June 2, 2016. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa K. Miller; two brothers, Raymond and Roy Snyder, and two sisters, Neva Kay Powell and one in infancy.

Ron is survived by his son Rodney (Dayna) Snyder of Kirksville, MO; one sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Earl Turner of Queen City, MO, and five grandchildren, Tyler and Tanner Miller, and Sydney, Jack and Sam Snyder all of Kirksville.

Ron was a graduate from Green City High School with the Class of 1959. He then served in the United States National Guard for several years. Ron worked at McGraw Edison several years before going to work as a printer for Burroughs (Later Standard Register) until it closed. At that time, Ron went to work for Slaughter's Printing where he was employed until his retirement. After retirement Ron enjoyed working part-time several years for Wal-Mart until his health begin to fail.

Ron enjoyed raising and running fox hounds, hunting, gardening, Dodger baseball, and keeping a well groomed lawn. Most of all Ron loved his family and time spent following his grandchildren's sporting events.

Ron was a member of Kirksville Moose Lodge #1751 and member of Hamilton Street Baptist Church.

Public visitation will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from noon to 2:00 p.m. at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Graveside services will follow the visitation at Park View Memorial Gardens in Kirksville, at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2019.

Pallbearers will be Don Miller, Tyler Miller, Tanner Miller, Rob Snyder, Jack Snyder, and Sam Snyder.
