Mary Lou Ferry (May 26, 1947 - Feb 24, 2019

Mary Lou Ferry, age 71 of La Plata, Missouri passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019 at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

Born May 26, 1947 in Kirksville, Missouri, the daughter of Walter and Vera (Sanford) Hall. On August 14, 1982 in La Plata, Missouri she was united in marriage to Nelson “Butch” Ferry who survives.

Also surviving are her mother Vera Hall of Kirksville, Missouri; two children, J.T. Hudson and wife Stacey of La Plata, Missouri and Robin Hudson of Kirkwood, Missouri; one sister, Joan Ferry and husband Bob of La Plata, Missouri; and three grandchildren, Dayton, Dawsyn, and Daxton Hudson.

Her father, Walter Hall precedes her in death.

Mary Lou lived all of her life in the Kirksville and La Plata communities. She was a 1965 graduate of Kirksville High School and attended Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, flowers, and her cats. Mary Lou loved being Mom and Nanny.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the La Plata Christian Church in La Plata, Missouri. Officiating will be Pastor Scott McNay. Inurnment will be in the La Plata Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.
