Zeldia Irene (Matney) Lewis, 76 of Glenwood, Missouri passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Grandview Nursing and Rehab Center in Marshalltown, Iowa.

Zeldia was born on August 8, 1942 to William and Dottie Irene (Holiday) Matney in Union, Iowa. Zeldia was united in marriage to William “Bill” Lewis on December 7, 1957 in Marshalltown, Iowa and to this union two children were born, Debra and William “Rob”. Zeldia worked at a box factory in Marshalltown, Iowa. She moved in 1978 to Glenwood, Missouri with her family and she later cleaned houses for different families in the area.

Zeldia is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Lewis of Glenwood, Missouri; her two children, Debra McCubbin and husband, Camron of Liscomb, Iowa and William “Rob” Lewis and wife, Goldie Jean of Glenwood, Missouri; five grandchildren, Sherry Hughes and husband, Stewart of Conrad, Iowa, April Muschick and husband, Brandon of Liscomb, Iowa, Michael Vibbard and wife, Loretta of Liscomb, Iowa, Tiffany and William Andrew Lewis, both of Glenwood, Missouri; six great grandchildren, Lucas and Mallory Vibbard and Jayden and Addison Muschick all of Liscomb, Iowa and Jack and Olivia Hughes of Conrad, Iowa and other family members.

Zeldia is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, William Andrew Matney and one sister, Bonnie Jensen.

Zeldia enjoyed all kinds of hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with family. She will certainly be missed by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Sonny Smyser, Pastor of the Schuyler County Church of Faith officiating. Music will be special CD selections of “Precious Memories” and “The Old Rugged Cross”. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral services from 12 noon until 1:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, north of Glenwood, Missouri.
