Scott Alan Sander August 21, 1965 - JANUARY 2, 2019

Scott Alan Sander, 53 of Cairo, died Wednesday, January 2, 2019. He was born August 21, 1965 in Cairo to Tony and Betty (Reynolds) Sander.

Scott was a lifelong resident of Cairo and was a farmer.

Survivors include his children, Greg Sander and his wife Jaymi and Rachel Stoneking and her husband Dante all of Moberly, two grandchildren, Jeremiah and Isaac Stoneking, his mother, Betty Sander of Cairo, his companion, Melissa Ewens of Cairo, three sisters; Sara Foster and her husband David of Stephens City, VA, Nancy Goins and her husband Scott of Moberly, Julie Taylor and Roby Boots of Moberly, sister-in-law, Dana Crutchfield and her husband Chad of Cairo, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Mark Sander.

Scott loved farming and being on the Holiday Acre Lake entertaining family and friends.

Words of comfort and support may be shared with the family at the visitation, which will be, Monday, January 7, 2019, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Cater Funeral Home. Services honoring and celebrating Scott’s life will be Tuesday, January 8, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at the St. Pius X Catholic Church. Committal prayers and burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
