Rita Daly October 11, 1923 - DECEMBER 27, 2018

Rita Daly, 95, of Moberly, died Thursday, December 27, 2018. She was born October 11, 1923 in Moberly to Raymond W. and Mary (Roche) Daly.

Rita was a graduate of the Loretto Academy and the Moberly Junior College. Prior to retirement she worked for Banquet Foods for 30 years.

Survivors include her niece, Sally Daly Tucker and her husband Michael of Columbia, MO, cousins, Jerry Daly and his wife Beth of Moberly, Joe Daly and his wife Phyllis of Cincinnati, OH, Rich Daly and his wife Debbie of Columbia, MO, Kitty Moakley of St.Charles,MO, Jim Connelly and his wife Linda of Atlanta,GA. and John Connelly of Spokane,WA, other relatives and many friends, including Anne Meriwether of St. Louis, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Veronica and Mary Daly and two brothers, R.W. “Bill” and Ed F. Daly.

Rita was an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. She was a charter member of the Moberly Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors and a member and board member of the Randolph County Historical Society. She belonged to the Moberly Area Community College Foundation and the Moberly Area Community College Alumni Association.

Memorial contributions to the St. Pius X Catholic School or the St. Pius X Catholic Church would be appreciated.

Words of comfort and support may be shared with the family at the visitation which will be Saturday, January 5, 2019 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the St. Pius X Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. Committal prayers and burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
