Michael Charles Baker April 01, 1951 - December 31, 2018

Michael “Mike” Charles Baker, 67, of Macon, MO, passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018, at the Boone County Medical Center in Columbia, MO.

Mike was born on April 1, 1951, in Linn County, MO, the son of Hershel C. and Margaret Marion (Rushton) Baker. He was united in marriage to Shirley Hurley. Mike owned and operated Mike Baker Distributing and sold car care products in the Macon area for many years. He was a member of the Macon Country Club and enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, and especially spending time with his family.

Mike is survived by his wife, Shirley of the home, two sons, Mark Baker of Elko, NV, and Tim Baker and his wife Heather of Excello, MO, three grandchildren, Stephanie Blakeburn and her husband Chris of Macon, Justin Baker of Silver Spring, MD, and Jarrett Baker of Excello, two great grandchildren, Ahryah Blakeburn and Koby Blakeburn, one brother, Randy Baker and his wife Gail of Clarence, MO, one sister, Pat Stinchcomb and her husband Randy of Arnold, MO, and one niece, Jennifer Gill, one nephew, Bobby Baker, great nieces and great nephews and other extended family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hershel Baker, his mother, Marion Wood, his step-father, Raymond Wood, and two sisters, Sandra Baker and Brenda Baker.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Friday, January 4, 2019, at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon. Burial will be in the Bloomington Cemetery north of Bevier, MO. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm, Thursday evening, at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Bloomington Cemetery.
