Frank Leslie Tolson, 92, of Macon, MO, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at his home.

Frank was born on June 14, 1926, in Jacksonville, MO, the son of Artie and Birdie (Kitchen) Tolson. He served in the United States Navy during WW II in the Pacific Theatre. He was united in marriage to Darlene Lampkin who blessed him with two children. Frank was later united in marriage to Beverly Stifel on January 14, 1983, in Des Moines, IA. He worked for many years at the Iowa State Capitol Building in Des Moines. Frank was a member of the Holy Trinity Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed life, especially driving his fine automobiles, playing music on his keyboard, telling his long interesting stories and spending time with his family.

Frank is survived by his daughter, Freda Tolson of Bloomington, IL, one granddaughter, Marcia, one great-granddaughter, one sister, Emily Rucker of Macon, six nieces, Cynthia Hyter and her husband Elias, Nancy Reese, Jackie Tolson, Connie Tolson, all of Indianapolis, IN, Vickie Harris and her husband Johnny and Tracy Smith and her husband Jeffery, all of Macon, two nephews, Roscoe Rucker and his wife Michele of Macon, and DeWayne Rucker and his wife Maureen of Jefferson City, MO, many great-nieces, great-nephews, in-laws and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Beverly Tolson on November 13, 2007, one son, Leslie Tolson, and one brother, Milton Tolson.

Funeral services will be 1:30 pm, Thursday, December 13, 2018, at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, with Pastor Jeff Green officiating. Burial, with full military honors, will be in the Jacksonville Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 pm, Thursday afternoon, at the funeral home in Macon. Memorials are suggested to the Holy Trinity Missionary Baptist Church or the Randy Johnson Memorial Fund.
