Charles Donald Tomlinson September 6, 1948 - October 11, 2018

Charles (Chuck) Donald Tomlinson, 70, of Marceline, died Thursday, October 11th, 2018 at Life Care Center of Brookfield. Arrangements are pending.

He was born September 6th, 1948, the son of Denzil and Geneda (Vietti) Tomlinson.

He was a member of the St. Bonaventure Catholic church, former member of the Marceline Fire Department, and a proud veteran of the United States Army and Reserves. He was a long term employee of the city of Marceline and was last employed by Emery, Sapp, and Sons, before a stroke forced him to retire early. He enjoyed watching many sports, especially the KC Chiefs and the Marceline Tigers.

Surviving is his wife, Jackie Tomlinson of the home, also three daughters, Sherry Burk and husband Zack of Bucklin, MO; Elizabeth Hendricks of Kansas City; Buffy Terrell and husband Jim of Marceline; one son, Caley Woods, of Brookfield; one brother, Edward Tomlinson and wife Linda of Brookfield; four sisters, Patsy Harris and husband Kenneth, Billie Camlin and husband Earl, and Helena Moody, all of Clinton, MO; and Desi Clark of Grain Valley, MO; eleven grandchildren,5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Chuck was preceded in death by both parents, his brothers, Leonard Tomlinson, James Tomlinson, Denzil Tomlinson Jr., and (infant) Jackie Tomlinson; former wife Sarah Tomlinson, and his daughter Angela Yarnell.
