Carolyn Kay Foster, 77, of Harris, Missouri passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at her home.

She was born on March 3, 1941 in Oskaloosa, Iowa to Edgar and Maxine (Woodall) Pipes. Carolyn grew up in Waukesha, Wisconsin and graduated high school there. She married August Wollenzien and to this marriage five children were born. On August 11, 1978 she married Richard Leon Foster and became a resident of Harris.

Carolyn is survived by her husband Richard, five children, Kelly and husband Keith Hague of Newtown, Missouri, Tracy Detwiler of Newport, Rhode Island, Susanne and husband Eddie Crawford of Harris, Missouri, Melissa and husband Tony McNear of Browning, Missouri, Daniel and wife Theresa Wollenzien of Harris, two stepsons, Steve Foster of Harris, Rick and wife Sheila Foster of Centerville, Iowa, one stepdaughter, Lynn Renee Rahman of Colorado Springs, Colorado, eight grandchildren, Jeffrey Hague, Jason Hague, Krista Hague, Eric Crawford, Adam Crawford, Kyle Wollenzien, Levi Wollenzien, Emily and husband Ryan VanGenderen, and eight great grandchildren, Marshall Hague, Jeremiah Crawford, Gus Wollenzien, Westley Wollenzien, Jaxon Wollenzien, Riggs Wollenzien, Scout VanGenderen, and Hesston VanGenderen.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, and stepson, Harold Foster.

She was employed for many years at the Princeton Care Center as a Cook and Certified Nurses Aid. Also in past years, she was head cook at Leewood Manor, cooked at the Wagon Wheel Restaurant, sold Mary Kay Products, raised dogs, and worked as a Certified Nurses Aid at the Sullivan County Memorial Hospital before retiring.

Carolyn was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Milan.

She enjoyed crocheting, raising flowers, and spending time on the front porch watching her cats and birds. Carolyn held her family close to her heart, enjoying the time spent with each and every one of them.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the Peace Lutheran Church in Milan, Missouri. Burial will follow in the Harris Cemetery in Harris. Visitation is scheduled at the church from 10:00 A.M. Saturday morning until the time of service.
