Larry Jesse Strickler January 01, 1949 - July 26, 2018

Larry Jesse Strickler, age 69, of Perry, Missouri, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 at his home in Perry, Missouri.

Larry was born on January 1, 1949, in Perry, Missouri the son of Harold and Eliose (Taylor) Strickler . He is survived by his special friend, Dorothy Ahring. They were together over 22 years.

He is also survived by his three children, Missy David and husband Mark of Avon, Indiana, Brent Strickler of Avon, Indiana, and Brian Strickler and fiancé Joy of Hallsville, Missouri, one step son, Curt Ahring and wife Kerri of Monroe City, Missouri; three grandchildren, Jake and Drew Davis, and Sarah Ahring; two great grandchildren, Hailee Young and Isaac Young; and one brother, Jerry Lee Strickler of Harlingen, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Greg Strickler; and one brother, Don Stickler.

Larry was a Christian by faith. He was a member of the VFW 4088 in Perry, and the American Legion 0207 of Willshire, Ohio. He loved painting cars, fishing, and watching Nascar. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 11 am at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, Missouri. A visitation will precede the funeral starting a 9 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral service at the Lick Creek Cemetery, near Perry, Missouri. Memorials may be made to Loving Community Care Hospice or the VFW Post 4088 in Perry.
