Nancy Haley March 29, 1949 - June 29, 2018

Nancy Jane Haley, age 69 passed away unexpectedly Friday evening, June 29, 2018 at her home in Mercyville, north of Elmer, MO.

Nancy was born on March 29, 1949 at Kirksville, MO a daughter of Virgil Dean and Florence Colleen (Rhoades) Pippin. On January 27, 1968 at the Elmer Baptist Church she was united in marriage to Baxter Haley, who preceded her in death on March 23, 2018. She was also preceded in death by her mother on November 9, 2017 and her grandparents.

She is survived by her father: Virgil "Squeak" Pippin of Elmer; 2 daughters: Kim (Paul) Rodriquez of Clarence, MO and Tessa (Jeff) Parke of Casper, WY; 3 grandsons: Jake (Cassie) Rodriquez of Kirksville; Jackson and Connor Parke of Casper, WY; 1 great-grandson: Laramie Rodriquez of Kirksville; 2 brothers: Robert Pippin of Atlanta and Victor (Diana) Pippin of LaPlata; a sister: Cindy Gwinner of Eldon, MO; other relatives and a host of friends.

Nancy was a graduate of Elmer High School Class of 1967; member of the Elmer Baptist Church; Treasurer of the Elmer Fire Department and Bell Cemetery. She and Baxter had lived in Oklahoma, Colorado and Wyoming before retiring to Missouri. She had worked as a dental assistant in several states and had worked as caretaker at the Santa Fe Lake in LaPlata which she enjoyed very much. Nancy loved mowing her yard and water activities in her own swimming pool. Most importantly she loved her family and friends and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life Service for Nancy will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Elmer School Gym with Billy Pippin officiating.

Nancy would want those attending to dress casually wearing bright colors, please honor her wishes.

Committal services and inurnment for Baxter and Nancy will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 2 p.m. with full Military Honors for Baxter at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Jacksonville. The public is invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Nancy may be made to the Elmer Fire Department or the Bell Cemetery and may be mailed to Elliott Funeral Home, P.O. Box 392, Atlanta, MO 63530
