George Wendell Payne July 10, 1942 - June 17, 2018

George Wendell Payne, age 75 of Marceline formerly of New Cambria, died Sunday, June 17, 2018 at his home. Wendell was born at Mike, Missouri on July 10, 1942 to John Bills and Viola (Bettis) Payne.

Wendell had worked as a farm worker and had also worked at Hampton Feed Lot and at the window factory in Marceline

He is survived by four sisters, Marilyn Camlen of Brookfield, Carolyn Scott of Marceline, Wanda Dodge and Wilma Grett both of Laclede, four brothers, Wilbur Payne of Wheatland, Donald Payne of Dawn, Vernon Payne and Gerald Payne, both of Bucklin. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Freda Hulett.

Funeral services will be at 10 AM Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Delaney Funeral Home in Marceline with burial in Locke Cemetery, Marceline. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday, June 19 at the funeral home in Marceline. Memorials may be made to Locke Cemetery and sent to 1720 N. Missouri Ave., Marceline, MO 64658.
