Linda Sue Thomas August 29, 1951 - June 15, 2018

Linda Sue Thomas, 66, of Macon, MO, passed away Friday, June 15, 2018, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, MO.

Linda was born on August 29, 1951, in Elmhurst, IL, the daughter of Lyle and Doris (Kleeman) McGowan, Sr. She was member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Macon. Linda enjoyed doing 5K walks, crocheting, gardening, growing flowers, caring for other people, cooking for her family, and especially being a loving mother and grandmother (Ohma).

She is survived by two sons, Shane Lee Thomas and wife Cheryl of Moberly, Joseph Lee Thomas and wife Christine of Callao, MO; four grandchildren, Jessie Jolie Thomas, Marc Lee Thomas, Alyssa Renee McKenzie, Alexa Jo Thomas; four siblings, Richard McGowan and wife Mashell of Macon, Lyle McGowan, Jr. of Macon, Karen Reagan of Clarence, MO, Vicky Durham and husband Doyle of Macon, and several nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Robert McGowan, and one sister Lucy Richardson.

A private family service will be held at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Macon, MO. Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Mary’s Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon.
