Linda Berry December 12, 1947 - June 14, 2018

Linda L Berry age 70, of Glenwood, MO passed away Thursday (June 14, 2018) at the Scotland County Hospital in Memphis, MO.

Linda was born on December 12, 1947 in Kirksville, MO the daughter of Mary Jane (Scurlock) and Charles Collins.

She attended Worthington Public School through eighth grade. She graduated from the Schulyer County High School in 1965. She continued her education graduating from Northeast Missouri State (now Truman State University) with a B.S. in elementary education, in 1968. She received a MA in School Administration in 1980, a Specialist in Education from Northwest Missouri State and School Administration and Superintendent in 1995.

Linda married Edgar Berry on June 23, 1968 in Worthington, MO. To this marriage two children were born, Elaina Michelle and Edward Lee.

Linda taught at Clark County and Schuyler County Schools. Taking seven years off to be home with her children. She taught in the elementary grades and then served in the Schuyler County schools as Principal and Superintendent. She retired in 2003.

Surviving are her children; Elaina and Brad Wolzak of Blue Springs, MO and Edward and Jessica Berry of Glenwood, MO; two grandchildren, Edward Paul and Sienna. Also surviving is her mother Jane Collins of Queen City MO; brother, Larry Collins of Queen City, MO, nephew, Casey and Vickie Collins, nieces, Becky and Kevin Douglas and Susan and Scott Crawford, great-nephews, Tyler Collins, Cody Collins, Schuyler Douglas, Seth Crawford, great-nieces Amadee Daven Huck, Ava Crawford, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceding her in death were her father and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Linda believed in God and all of his greatness. She also believed strongly in the youth and their importance for the future.

A private family memorial service to be held at a future date.
