Robert “Bob” Paul Lee Jarboe, age 83, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018, at the Clarence Care Center in Clarence, Missouri.

Bob was born in Clarence, Missouri on October 21, 1934, the son of Clarence and Lela Francis (Maupin) Jarboe. He was united in marriage to Maranelle Spencer on September 22, 1956, at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, in Clarence. She survives.

He is survived by two children, Paul Jarboe and wife Nancy of Clarence, Missouri, and Joni K. Behringer of Clarence, Missouri; three grandchildren, Camissa Hummel and husband Chad of Quincy, Illinois, Anthony Jarboe and wife Kara of Mt. Sterling, Illinois, and Danielle Weise and husband Andy of Quincy, Illinois; great grandchildren, Ella and Lauren Hummel, Rylin Jarboe, and Jocelyn, Owen, Auston, and Amaya Weise.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and one daughter, Mara Lea Jarboe.

Bob was born and raised in Clarence, Missouri. Once graduating from Clarence High School, he joined the United States Navy. After his service, he moved back to Clarence and began a lifelong career of farming. He was a grain farmer and raised livestock. Bob was a member of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church of Clarence, and to the Clarence VFW and American Legion Post 309. He was an avid sports fan, following the St. Louis Cardinals, the Mizzou Tigers, and the South Shelby Cardinals. Bob enjoyed socializing in town at the coffee shop and liked going to the casino. Most of all, Bob loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Clarence, with a burial to follow at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Monday, June 11, 2018, at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Clarence, Missouri. Rosary prayer will start at 4:30 pm before the visitation. Memorials may be made to the St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery.
