Elbert "Peno" Roberts July 31, 1936 - June 01, 2018

Peno Roberts, age 81, of Shelbina, Missouri, passed away Friday, June 1, 2018 at the Hannibal Hospital in Hannibal, Missouri. He was born July 31, 1936, the son of Elbert Sr. and Sadie Ray Young Roberts. He was united in marriage to Mary Ellen Gibler on May 14, 1955 in Paris, Missouri. She precedes him in death.

Peno is survived by three children, Elbert Roberts Jr. and wife Crystal of Fulton, Missouri, Delbert Roberts and wife Diana of Troy, Missouri, and Kimberly Taylor and husband Thomas of Tallahassee, Florida; 10 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and one brother Eugene Roberts and wife Elaine of Shelbina, Missouri.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; five brothers; and six sisters.

Peno was a truck driver all of his life. He loved to watch county T.V. shows, playing pool at the Senior Citizens, Wednesday and Saturday breakfast with the family, socializing with his buddy’s, and spending time with family.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am Friday, June 8, 2018 at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, Missouri. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 6pm to 8pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Walnut Grove in Paris, Missouri. Memorials can be made to the St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
