Bonnie Jean Breuklander (Nov 23, 1930 - May 12, 2018)

Bonnie Jean Breuklander, age 87 of La Plata, Missouri, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the La Plata Nursing Home.

Born November 23, 1930 in Oskaloosa, Iowa, the daughter of Howard Leon and Iris Mae (Boggs) Hanna. On February 20, 1957 she was united in marriage to Gerald Breuklander who preceded her in death on July 17, 1974. In 1977 she became a special friend to Fred Grant who preceded her in death on February 27, 2005.

Also preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors include one son, Terry Lee Breuklander and wife Ethel of La Plata, Missouri; one daughter, Debra Ann Fristoe of Brookfield; seven grandchildren, Joe Breuklander and wife Tricia, Jeff Breuklander and wife Andrea, Jamie Lusher, Jerry Kerr and wife Sara, Julie and Jessie Steiner, and Jerry Simmons; sixteen great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Bonnie was a 1948 graduate Oskaloosa High School. She worked as a cook at many places, including at the Kirksville schools.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Travis Funeral Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Matt Stieger. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. the day of the service.

Burial will be at a later date at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Marshalltown, Iowa. Pallbearers will be Jerry Kerr, Joe Breuklander, Jeff Breuklander, Caden Breuklander, Louie Breuklander, and Josh Savage. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great Grandchildren.
