Betty Carroll Andrews Pagliai, 87, of Macon, MO, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018, surrounded by family, friends, and her children after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

Betty was born on March 14, 1931, to LeRoy and Pauline Dille Andrews in Jacksonville, MO. She was born and raised on a farm where she made pets from the farm animals. Her favorite was a pet pig.

A graduate of Macon High School, she met and fell in love with Dolph Pagliai, also from Jacksonville. They married on December 10, 1949. They later settled on a farm in Jacksonville. Betty had lots of hobbies; embroidery was her favorite.

Her passions were her husband and family and being a partner to a coal-mining farmer husband and loving her children. Later, she added being a grandmother affectionately called Mimi. Her home was open to all and she was well known for her chocolate cakes. Betty also deeply loved her cat, Pumpkin, and could be found on the floor playing with her calico.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Hyatt, and her son, Deno (Jennifer) Pagliai, grandsons, Dallas (Michelle Moller) McBeth of Valley Park, MO, Jesse (Ashley Greer) Turner of Boonville, MO, and Jacob Turner of Macon, MO, granddaughters, Ashley (Aaron) Willingham of Renick, MO, and Tiana (Jordan Strawn) Pagliai of Columbia, MO, her great-granddaughters, Jordyn McBeth, Kylee Turner, and Hunter Willingham, four step-grandchildren, Brock (Whitnee) Hyatt of Centralia, MO, Brittany (John Buschkoetter) Hyatt of Moberly, MO, Megan Elliott of Kansas City, MO, and Emily Elliott of Kansas City, MO. She also leaves behind a sister-in-law, Wanda Pagliai Leathers, sisters, Bonny (James) Poore of South Carolina, and Barbara (Donnie) Monroe of Springfield, IL, and a brother, Paul (Patty) Andrews of St. Joseph, MO. Her many family members and friends will miss her.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two nephews, one son-in-law, and many cousins, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.

She was well loved and enjoyed by many. Her home was your home.
