Francis Joseph Mossbarger, age 81 of New Cambria passed away at his home April 7, 2018. Francis was born on July 22, 1936 to Joseph (Joey) and Barbara (Bertsch) Mossbarger. He married Alfreda Stallo on September 21, 1963 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Wien.

Francis was a farmer, milk and water hauler. He drove the school bus for Macon County R-IV for 21 years and was a member of the St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church in Wien.

He is survived by his wife Alfreda Mossbarger of the home in New Cambria, two daughters Patricia and Brad Legg of Kansas City, and Peggy Weimer and Brad Atterbury of Marceline, son Phillip and Elizabeth Mossbarger of New Cambria, grandchildren, Ashley and Mike Camden, Brandon and Lyndi Legg, Dallas Legg, Caitlin Legg, Rachael and Brad Monnig, Rebecca and Kevin Almond, Curtis Mossbarger, Justin Mossbarger, John Mossbarger, and Katie Mossbarger, great grandchildren, Mikayla and Aurora Camden, Cheyanne, Raelyn, Gentry, and Kannon Legg, Slade and Whitley Monnig, his sister Mary Catherine Boss, of Keytesville and several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, mother and father-in-law, Frank and Rose Stallo, son Patrick Mossbarger on August 2, 1995, sisters-in-law, Nayna Stallo and Helen Stallo, and brothers-in-law Paul Boss, Lawrence Stallo, Bernard Stallo and Henry George Wienhaus.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church in Wien with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Tuesday, April 10 at the church in Wien with rosary and prayer service at 7:30 PM. Memorials are suggested to St. Mary’s Cemetery or Restoration Fund and mailed to Delaney Funeral Home 1720 N. Missouri Ave., Marceline, MO 64658.
