Margaret Ruth Gregory of Kirksville went home to be with the Lord on April 22, 2018.

Margaret was born on June 10, 1946 in Des Moines, IA, the daughter of Labe Levi and Ruth Margret Thompson Robbins.

At the age of 9, her family moved to rural Putnam County, MO. On June 19, 1960 she was united in marriage to Wayne Gregory, who preceded her in death. To his union two children were born, son Wayne (Jr.) Gregory of Worthington, MO and daughter, Tiffany (Bill) Sloop of Kirksville.

Margaret is survived by her children; 6 grandchildren, Jeffery (Ashlee) Martin of Kirksville, Meghan (Kaleb) Raymer of Queen City, MO, Zachary (Ashley) Stephens of Greentop, MO, Paige (Frank) Cornelison of Macon, MO, Derek Gregory of Worthington, MO, and Junior (Amanda) Eiler of Novinger, MO; 3 brothers, Joe (George Ann) Robbins of Queen City, MO, Edward (Sandy) Robbins of Kirksville and Labe (Marie) Robbins of Worthington, MO; and several great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, JoAnn Clark; two brothers, Herman Richmond and David Robbins; and sister-in-law, Halley Robbins.

Margaret worked at Florsheim in Kirksville, later went to work at the post office in Worthington, MO.

Margaret was a member of the Gospel Outreach Church in Kirksville. She was one of the founders of the Outreach Mission in Kirksville. She later helped start Helping Hands Mission in Kirksville. She was a member of the Worthington Garden Club and a member of Heaven’s Handmaidens. Margaret will be remembered for always trying to be a help to others and her great love for the Lord.

Visitation with the family will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday (April 25, 2018) with funeral service to be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery.
