Carol L. (Lloyd) Wilson June 10, 1935 - April 14, 2018

Carol L. (Lloyd) Wilson, 82, of Novinger, Missouri, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018 at St. Frances Hospital under Hospice care in Wichita, Kansas.

Born June 10, 1935 in Stahl, Missouri, Carol was the daughter of the late Ralph Junior and Juanita (Bibee) Lloyd. On May 3, 1953 in Kirksville, Missouri, Carol was united in marriage to Lowell Wilson who preceded her in death on October 29, 2007. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Lloyd.

Carol is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Elaine Wilson of Novinger, MO; one daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Leon McDaniel of Kingman, KS; one brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Claire Lloyd of Kirksville, MO; one sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Pat Meade of Maxwell, IA; one sister-in-law, Sharon Lloyd of Kirksville, MO; six grandchildren, Heath (Brook) Wilson, Hayley (Derek) Rouse, Leanna (Ben) Crawford, Kristi (Steve) Denny, Jenny (Eric) Harbaugh, and Kelli (Robbie) Barron, as well as fourteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Carol was a graduate from Novinger R-I High School with the Class of 1953 and graduate from Missouri State Teacher's College in Kirksville, Missouri in 1967. She taught for twenty-five years in Hurdland and Novinger public schools, until retiring. Carol resided most of her life in Novinger where she was very active in the community with Novinger Renewal, Novinger Planned Progress and was secretary of the Novinger Alumni Association. She was also a member of DAR (Daughters of American Revolution) and of the Central Church of Christ.

Public visitation will be held Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, MO, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2018 at Travis-Noe Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Todd officiating. Interment will follow at Novinger Cemetery in Novinger, Missouri.

Pallbearers will be Ben Crawford, Steve Denny, Eric Harbaugh, Kody Christman, Matthew Bell, and Derek Rouse.Honorary Pallbearers will be: Monty Johnson, Adam Gashwiler, Aaron Christman, Gail Scott, George Bell, and David Lewis.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Carol Wilson may be made to Central Church of Christ or to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
