Several Questions Released Ahead of Macon City Council Forum

In an email sent out early this evening, Shellie Claiborne and Ben Nelson, co-moderators for the Macon City Council Candidates’ Forum, released two (of multiple) questions to the candidates who will be running in the April election. Those released items are as follows...

1. There are those who want growth and city development, but desire low taxes. Explain the relationship between taxation and city development/growth (somewhere in answer, incorporate your own philosophy on taxation).

2. What is the job description and the powers of the Macon City Council as you see them?

The public is encouraged to attend the evening’s event. The forum will be held at the Macon Middle School Gym on Wednesday, March 21 at 7:00 pm.
