Pearl E. Perry

Pearl E. Perry, age 97 of La Plata, Missouri, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017 at the La Plata Nursing Home.

Born March 23, 1920 near La Plata, Missouri, the daughter of Joseph Jackson and Maudie M. (Bealmer) Lene. On September 21, 1942 in Kirksville, Missouri she was united in marriage to Emmet Perry who preceded her in death on May 22, 1993.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; one daughter, Joyce Walker; one granddaughter, Hannah Perry; two great grandchildren, Carissa Bristow and Blake Bristow; four brothers, Rollie Lene, Lavern Lene, Clifford Lene, and Jackie Lene; and four sisters, Frances Eitel, Ollie Warren, Faye Magers, and Leola Buck.

Surviving are three sons, Junior Perry and wife Virginia of La Plata, Missouri, Jack Perry and wife Martie of Medical Lake, Washington, and Dale Perry of La Plata, Missouri; one daughter, Connie Gunnels and husband David of La Plata, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Randy, Julie, Garth, Lucas, Kenny, Wayne, Mike, Christy, and Nikisha; eleven great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Pearl lived all of her life in the La Plata community. She received her education at the Newberg School. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in La Plata. Pearl loved gardening, flowers, music, and spending time with her family.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 4, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in La Plata Missouri. Officiating will be Pastor Matt Tanner. Burial will be in the La Plata Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service starting at 10:00 a.m.
